What is a pre-roll?
A pre-roll is a weed joint that comes already rolled, ready to light. Pre rolls, prerolls, pre-rolled joints and joint weed all mean the same thing. You skip the grinding and rolling and get a neatly packed joint.
Ours are king size, 1.2g each, and each listing shows the strain name, strain type and a THC figure from the product data.
Where does the weed in Green Vault pre-rolls come from?
From our own farms. Every pre-roll is rolled from Green Vault flower, organically grown and sent farm direct with no middleman, so the joint in your hand comes from the same crop as the flower we sell by the gram. Read more about our farms.
Indoor pre-rolls or greenhouse pre-rolls: what is the difference?
We roll two kinds of pre-roll, and the difference is where the flower was grown. Indoor pre-rolls are rolled from flower grown under lights in a sealed, climate-controlled room. Greenhouse pre-rolls are rolled from flower organically grown under mostly natural South African sun. Both come from our own farms and both are rolled the same way, king size at 1.2g.
Indoor flower is grown with every hour of light, the temperature and the humidity controlled, which gives a cleaner, noticeably sweeter smoke with a taste you can tell is indoor. Greenhouse flower gets real sun, so the plants grow bigger and fuller and the smoke is typically stronger and more full-bodied, the way sun-grown cannabis tastes. Neither is better, they are just different, and many customers keep one of each.
| What to compare | Indoor pre-rolls | Greenhouse pre-rolls |
|---|---|---|
| How the flower is grown | Under lights in a climate-controlled room | Organically grown under mostly natural sun |
| Taste | Clean and noticeably sweeter, the classic indoor taste | Full-bodied, sun-grown flavour |
| Smoke | Smooth and refined | Typically stronger and more potent |
| Best for | Flavour first, a refined smoke | Strength first, a bigger hit |
| Size | King size, 1.2g | King size, 1.2g |
Each pre-roll on this page carries an Indoor or Greenhouse mark on its picture, and the page is split into the two ranges, so you always know which one you are buying.
How do I choose a pre-rolled joint?
Pick by strain type first: sativa, indica or hybrid, as listed on each product. Then check the THC figure. If cannabis is new to you, take a few puffs and wait before having more. Our types of weed guide explains the strain types.
